READY TO ADOPT?

GREAT! Our online application, once submitted, will go directly to our rescue partner, Princeton's Meow... they will take it from there! You will know your application was successfully submitted when you see a page that pops up with an orange check mark. Please fill it out in its entirety! The online application is under the "Our Cats" tab in the menu. Check your spam/junk folder (and move to "inbox") if you do not see an immediate "thank you" email from your submission! This will have info listed at the top regarding your application.

Fees: Cats over 1 year are $125. Kittens (1 year and younger) are $140. If you adopt two kitties at once, the cost is $210. Fees cover the vet health check, treatment for fleas and worms, and all necessary vaccines, spay / neutering and micro-chipping. All fees go to our rescue partner, Mac Tabby does not take any portion. Proof of yearly vetting for any currently owned pet is required before an adoption is approved. Please call your vet and let them know they have permission to speak with Princeton's Meow to save processing time.

To Adopt: You must be 21+. You must get pre-approved by filling out an application online (see info above). You must meet the cat of interest before final approval (cannot "shop online" as a connection with your new pet is important). Please make an appointment at your earliest convenience. We do not do "same day" adoptions, Mac Tabby holds weekly adoption nights at each location. Our rescue will provide adoption night pick-up info during the adoption communication process.

Cat Info: All cats are up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. We highly encourage you to schedule an initial visit at your vet within two weeks of bringing your new cat home. This allows your vet to get a baseline on the cat's health as well as form a relationship between your new cat and your vet.

Please Note: Applying does not guarantee that the specific cat that you're interested in will still be available when your application is complete. Applications must be approved before a cat is put "on hold" for someone. We encourage pre-approval to make the process smoother if you're ready to adopt a new family member!

Adoption Night: You will be asked to bring a secure pet carrier. A representative from our rescue partner, Princeton's Meow, will be at your adoption to go over paperwork and take your payment (cash, debit / credit). Our Cat Crew will then take a Polaroid of you and your new furry family member for our memory books, and then you're ready to go!

*The Mac Tabby staff does not field applications or make decisions regarding the process. Questions or concerns must be directed to Princeton's Meow. Thank you for understanding!

I APPLIED! WHEN WILL I HEAR SOMETHING?

Princeton's Meow kindly asks for a 72 hour grace period. Their team members all work their "regular" 9-5 jobs and then dedicate their time to the cats and the humans ready to love them (aka "the best job of all!") They are working hard for everyone involved and appreciate your patience!

After 72 hours? PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER! The email regarding your adoption paperwork will come from Princeton's Meow, and sometimes winds up in spam. If you still cannot locate an email, please email a representative at  pmadoption@outlook.com to follow up (Mac Tabby employees do not process applications and may not have the info you're looking for.)

WHAT DOES MY NEW CAT NEED?

Your kitty is used to eating Hill's Science Diet and using Frisco cat litter (sold by Chewy). You are welcome to change this at your home but we suggest starting out this way. At adoption, you will get a bag of food to take home with you to get started, as well as a little goodie bag courtesy of Princeton's Meow. Cats love stimulation, so don't forget to shop for some scratching posts, catnip and toys!

OUR RESCUE PARTNER

Princeton's Meow is the Humane Society of Concord's cage-free cat adoption facility.
